Jacqueline K. Lang
She/Her
I’m Jackie — a Houston-born, L.A.-based editor whose path into post came straight through the world of acting. As an actor, I always chased perfection — the rhythm of a conversation, the tiny shifts between moments, the emotional transitions no one else notices. Those instincts shaped the editor I am today.

My background on stage taught me how to feel a story from the inside out, and that perspective shows up in every timeline I build. What used to be memorizing lines is now memorizing keyboard shortcuts; what used to be finding the truth of a scene as a performer is now finding it in the edit. I’ve worked with directors for most of my life and collaboration has always been my favorite part of the process. I love being in a creative rhythm with someone, trading ideas, shaping moments, and discovering the cut that finally clicks.

After earning my M.F.A. in Film & TV Editing from the American Film Institute, I’ve carried all of that experience into the projects I take on, from scripted to non-scripted. My approach is rooted in empathy, story sense, and the belief that every frame should feel intentional.

This is the work that feels like home.
